Broadway’s Alex Brightman Inks With UTA; Agent Liz Hart Joins Abrams Artists Agency

Alex Brightman, who’s set to star on Broadway in School Of Rock: The Musical in the winter, has signed with UTA. He will play Dewey Finn, the role Jack Black originated in the 2003 feature. With a book by Julian Fellows, music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Glenn Slater, the show opens December 6 at the Winter Garden Theatre. Previews begin November 9. Brightman also starred on the Main Stem in 2013’s Big Fish and Matilda: The Musical and earlier appeared in Glory Days and Wicked. The actor continues to be repped by Stewart Talent and Brookside Artist Management.

Abrams Artists Agency has hired veteran agent Liz Hart in its alternative programming and digital media division. A specialist in repping broadcast journalists, Hart most recently worked Napoli Management Group. During the past 20 years, Hart has managed and careers of on-air broadcast journalists and placed them into key positions from top local TV news markets to networks and syndication including CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN. She will be based at Abrams’ Los Angeles office. She began her career at Don Fitzpatrick Associates in San Francisco and soon after founded Hart Talent & Management. She later returned to Don Fitzpatrick Associates as VP/General Manager before joining Napoli Management in Beverly Hills.
