Entertainment One Television has promoted Jeff Lynas from his current position as SVP, Operations & Business Development to Chief Operating Officer. Lynas reports directly to CEO John Morayniss, and continues to be based in Los Angeles.
In his expanded role, Lynas takes on oversight of all day-to-day operations for eOne Television on a global basis. He will also continue in his business development capacity, establishing and structuring new business relationships for eOne Television across production, distribution and digital.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Jeff for many years and I say with certainty that there’s no better person for the job,” said Morayniss. “He has been instrumental in the strategy development, growth and success of eOne Television, and was a key member of the leadership team of its predecessor Blueprint. Jeff is forward-thinking, understands the US and international markets and plots how best to make it all work for our business.”
Lynas joined eOne as SVP in September 2008 when the company acquired Blueprint Entertainment where Lynas served as SVP Operations. Before that, he served as VP of U.S. Sales at Alliance Atlantis and also managed the Canadian English-language Feature Film Fund at Telefilm Canada.
“This is a very exciting time for eOne Television and I’m delighted to take on this new role,” said Lynas. “We’re now working with so many of the most talented creative and well-regarded producers in the world and we’re looking at ways to further grow and strengthen our original pipeline and distribution infrastructure to bring more opportunities to those partners. eOne has grown exponentially over the last several years, and the best is yet to come.”
