Michael J. Fox Lends His Voice To Family Friendly Film ‘A.R.C.H.I.E.’

Michael J. Fox will voice the dog Archie, the main character in the family friendly film A.R.C.H.I.E. from writer/director Robin Dunne (Just Friends, Sanctuary). Dunne is marking his feature film debut in the film in which he will also co-star. The project, about a robot canine, is being financed by Clairwood Capital Management. The film also stars Katherine Isabelle (American Mary).

The project, produced by Shayne Putzlocher, Glenn Paradis and Sara Shaak from Trilight Entertainment, is about a world-renowned roboticist Brooke Benton (Isabelle) who creates Archie to help those in need. Though he looks like a normal dog, he is anything but. He can talk and run at blinding speed, has super strength and x-ray vision. On the news of her research program being shut down by the military, Brooke helps Archie escape in the hopes of finding a family to care for him. Archie then wanders into the small town of Deanewood where Isabel Sullivan has just moved to live with her uncle Paul (Dunne), the town’s mayor and owner of Lord of Fries, Deanewood’s best burger-joint. Feeling very alone, Isabel struggles to find friends until she meets Archie. As Isabel and Archie’s paths connect, they find a bond and become fast friends while helping out uncle Paul in his race to retain his mayoral supremacy.

Jason Moring, President of Double Dutch International (DDI), structured the deal with Fox’s reps at UTA and Putzlocher of Trilight.

“From the voice of Stuart Little to the hit TV show Family Ties (and) to the blockbuster movie franchise Back To The Future, Michael J. Fox is synonymous with globally successful family entertainment,” said DDI’s Moring. “We couldn’t be more excited to have him as the voice of Archie.”

Fox joins the film while enjoying the 30th anniversary of the classic Back To The Future film. The beloved actor also returns to reprise his role as Louis Canning in the CBS series The Good Wife.
