The Blacklist producers Davis Entertainment and Sony TV have Las Vegas-set new NBC drama series The Player. Now the companies are staying in Sin City with a new project, a period single-camera comedy from writer-comedian Elizabeth Beckwith, which has been bought by Fox with a script commitment.
Based on Beckwith’s life growing up in Vegas in the 1970s, the untitled half-hour is a father-son workplace comedy set in 1970s Las Vegas. Beckwith executive produces with Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox as well as Thruline Entertainment’s Willie Mercer and Chris Henze.
Beckwith is repped by CAA, Thruline and attorney Jamie Feldman.
