Hillary Clinton Adds Second Hollywood Fundraiser To September 27 Visit – Update

UPDATE: The former Secretary of State never comes to town for just one visit to the Tinseltown ATM for her 2016 Presidential bid and she’s now tacked on another event for next month. After an afternoon fundraiser at the home of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairman Rob Friedman and his wife Shari’s pad on September 27, Hillary Clinton will be heading to downtown LA for a soiree at the Perch Rooftop, I’ve learned.

None of the usual suspects have been named as $27,000 co-hosts at the $2,700 a tix and a pic with the ex-First Lady event at the 4-year old lounge near Pershing Square but don’t be surprised if they start popping up soon. I also hear that another private event may be in the planning stages for Clinton’s fourth trip to L.A. since formally announcing her campaign. Such moves and events can’t go unnoticed by Joe Biden’s camp as a clear sign that Clinton wants to solidify her big Hollywood donors if the VPOTUS is thinking of jumping in the race. The past week or so has seen the likes of UTA’s Jay Sures make it very clear that there is Hollywood support and funds for the Vice-President if he decides to make a third run for the White House.

PREVIOUS, AUGUST 25 PM: Hillary Clinton’s last cashing seeking visit to Los Angeles was the day of the first GOP presidential debate. Yes she raised some cash on her third trip to the Hollywood cash trough since formally jumping into the 2016 race but to say her visit was overshadowed by Donald Trump an understatement. Now the Democratic front-runner is returning to town for more fundraisers on September 27 — a full 11 days after the Republicans put on the gloves for Round 2 in Simi Valley.

Sources confirm to Deadline that Clinton will topline an event hosted by Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Co-Chairman Rob Friedman and his wife Shari at their L.A. home. As well as hanging at the pad of her long time donors, the former Secretary of State also will be putting her card in the Tinseltown ATM at other events during the post-Emmys visit. Tickets for the Friedmans event will cost $2,700 each, the max allowed under primary rules.

Our sister publication Variety first reported the Friedmans’ Clinton fundraiser.
