ICM Partners Names Michael Kagan Head Of International Television & Media

Michael Kagan has been promoted to head of international television at ICM Partners. He will succeed veteran Greg Lipstone, who left last week to become CEO of longtime client All3Media America.

Kagan has been a rising star at ICM since joining the agency in 2003 when he started in the mailroom before being promoted to agent in International Television and Media. He was named a partner after the 2012 management buyout and is getting the promotion to head of international television on his 34th birthday today and his 12th anniversary at the agency this week.

For the past decade, Kagan helped Lipstone build ICM’s unscripted business and had been groomed as his successor. He will oversee a department that features 15 agents and 20 senior staffers total, including executives.  He is currently transitioning Lipstone’s clients with the expectation that about 80%-90% of them will stay at ICM.

“Michael was identified early in his career as a future leader of the agency,”said the Board of ICM Partners in a joint statement. “His passion for his clients and for television is infectious and his demonstrated commitment to growing this area of our business makes him the ideal candidate to lead our International Television and Media department.”

Kagan’s roster of clients includes 10×10, Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Entertainment, Ellen DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production and All3Media America. In addition to representing production companies, Kagan also works with unscripted showrunners from some of the biggest reality TV franchises and represents on-air talent.

ICM Partners’ International Television and Media department represents clients and intellectual properties worldwide and encompasses scripted and reality television packaging, format adaptations, new media projects, books and other literary source materials adapted for television.
