OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has promoted Jill Dickerson to SVP programming and development, up from her current VP role. In her elevated position, Dickerson will continue to collaborate with producers in the development of nonfiction programming for OWN, as well as supervise editorial management of outside production.
Dickerson joined OWN in 2009 as VP of programming and development. During her tenure, she has helped shepherd series such as Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s, Flex & Shanice and Deion’s Family Playbook. She’s currently overseeing the upcoming series For Peete’s Sake with Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete as well as the new primetime series featuring Rev Run and Tyrese Gibson.
Prior to joining OWN, Dickerson worked for two seasons as consulting producer and writer on MTV’s The Real World. Her other credits include TLC’s Miami Ink, VH1’s My Fair Brady and Venus & Serena: For Real.
