‘Heroes Reborn’ Gets 2-Hour Premiere, Pushing ‘The Blacklist’ By A Week – TCA

NBC announced at the TCA Summer Press Tour today that the premiere of Heroes Reborn on September 24 will now be a two-hour affair, running from 8-10 PM. That means the network will push by a week the Season 3 premiere of The Blacklist, originally scheduled to bow in that 9 PM slot. It now will premiere on October 1 at 9 PM.

Heroes Reborn, which will run 13 episodes this fall, will be followed on September 24 by the series premiere of the Wesley Snipes-starring The Player.

The Tim Kring-created follow-up to his 2006¬†sci-fi series Heroes¬†also will become the only U.S. broadcast TV series to appear at next month’s Toronto Film Festival, which will serve as the base for the event series’ world premiere. The fest will screen Episode 1 (“Brave New World”) and Episode 2 (“Odessa”) as part of the fest’s Primetime sidebar, a new program presenting the best in international television.

The Toronto fest runs September 10-20.
