Comedy Central has given a pilot order to Overanalyzers, a half-hour project created by up-and-coming writer Brian Schacter. with Ben and Kate alum Echo Kellum attached to star. Overanalyzers follows the misadventures of a diverse group of friends in their mid-twenties, one of them played by Kellum, as they navigate the fast-moving technological and cultural changes that make life as a young-ish person such a confusing and hilarious nightmare. Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment will produce. Schacter, Kellum, Marc Provissiero and Brooke Pobjoy serve as executive produce.
Kellum’s series regular credits also include NBC’s Sean Saves the World. He will next be seen playing the superhero Mr. Terrific on the CW’s Arrow.
This marks the first pilot of Schacter, a protege of Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Rodney Rothman. Schacter got his break on the set of 22 Jump Street where he assisted the movie’s co-writer Rothman and directors Lord and MIller with last minute punch-ups.
