Mozart In The Jungle‘s Brennan Brown has joined the cast of another Amazon series, upcoming drama The Man In The High Castle, written and executive produced by Frank Spotnitz. Based on the novel by Phillip K. Dick, the series is set in an alternate version of the early 1960s in which the Axis powers won World War II. The novel revolved around a group of people connected to one another by an in-universe alternate-history novel that tells of the Allies winning the war. Brown will recur as Robert Childan, the obsequious owner of American Artistic Handcrafts, an antique store that is a “veritable cornucopia of the recherché”. Brown, repped by Innovative Artists and Soffer/Namoff Management, plays symphony business manager Edward Biben on Amazon’s Mozart In The Jungle and was recently seen opposite Will Smith in the feature Focus.

Noah Harpster (Transparent) has been cast as a series regular in Amazon’s untitled Tig Notaro comedy pilot, co-written by Notaro and Diablo Cody, and starring Notaro. In the autobiographical comedy, Notaro is abruptly summoned home to Pass Christian, Miss., to take her ailing mother off life support and finds herself reconnecting with her dysfunctional Gulf Coast family and the loss of the one person who held everything together. Harpster will play Remy, Notaro’s brother. Harpster writes and also recurs on Amazon’s Transparent. He has had guest-starring roles on Bones, and Grey’s Anatomy and also starred in Sundance feature Afternoon Delight. Harpster is repped by UTA, Haven Entertainment, Primary Wave, and Kaplan Perrone.
