‘The Daily Show’: Jon Stewart Haters John McCain, Chris Christie, Arby’s CEO Say Goodbye

“Do you have any idea the trail of hate you’ve left behind?” former Daily Show correspondent Rob Riggle asked Jon Stewart tonight, providing the launch for a video compendium of politicians and media figures Stewart has savaged over the years saying so-long to Stewart on his final night hosting the Comedy Central show:

“I’m Paul Brown, CEO of Arby’s, brought to you tonight by Jon Stewart: It’s like your TV threw up on your face,” said Brown.

“I’ll never forget you Jon – but I will be trying,” said New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

“Good riddance, smartass,” added New York Rep. Charles Rangel.

“See you, pipsqueak,” chimed in Mika Brzesinski.

“Jon, I just don’t know what to say,” added Wolf Blitzer as “Screw you, jackass” appeared on the jumbo CNN screen behind him.

“I’m sure you’ll be missed — by somebody,” weighed in Lindsey Graham, while John McCain got in the last word as puppeteer of a Stewart dummy: “ ‘I’m Jon Stewart. I’m dumb, I’m stupid.’ Nah-nah-nah! So long, jackass.”

Said Stewart: “I’m not going to say that didn’t sting a little bit.”

Speaking of Stewart detractors, Wyatt Cenac was among the slew of the show’s former correspondents who showed up for tonight’s final episode. Cenac’s the guy who told Marc Maron during a recent podcast interview that Stewart blew up and him and told him to f*ck off when he said he was uncomfortable with Stewart’s Herman Cain impression, telling Stewart it “sounded like Kingfish.”

“You good?” Stewart asked tonight of the former correspondent, who was “across the street.”

“Yeah, I’m good. You good?” replied Cenac.

“Yeah, I’m good. I’d love to see you,” Stewart added.

“I’ll think about it. My social media is blowing up,” Cenac said, turning his attention to his mobile device.
