Tanc Sade Joins Showtime Pilot ‘Roadies’; Scottie Thompson In Syfy’s ’12 Monkeys’

Australian actor Tanc Sade (Matador, Gilmore Girls) is set for a guest role in Showtime’s hourlong comedy pilot Roadies, from Cameron Crowe and J.J. Abrams. Roadies follows the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour as seen through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes – the crew members who get the show on the road. Sade, repped by Untitled Entertainment and Don Buchwald & Associates, will play Christopher House, the tortured songwriter and guitarist for the Staton-House band. Single with several broken relationships behind him, House is a loner with a sardonic sense of humor. He joins just announced Carla Gugino, along with Luke Wilson and Imogen Poots in the ensemble cast. Sade recently wrapped the Syfy miniseries Childhood’s End, which premieres in December.

Scottie Thompson (Skyline, Star Trek) has been cast in a recurring role on Syfy’s drama 12 Monkeys. Based on the 1995 Terry Gilliam movie, the series stars Aaron Stanford as a time-traveling virus hunter from 2043 trying to save the world’s population from a plague that hit years earlier. Thompson will play Mantis, a calculating and menacing figure. Thompson’s other TV credits include The Blacklist, Trauma and Brotherhood. She’s repped by APA and Primary Wave Entertainment.
