Adam Driver, Rufus Wainwright Will Speak At Live TED Talks In New York

The Public Broadcasting Service has joined with TED Talks — not for the first time — to present the first ever TED Talks Live in New York, a six-night event featuring the popular lecture series, short films and performances, that will run November 1 through 6 at the Town Hall, the history-laden Theater District auditorium. Speakers and performers who have signed on for the presentations include: Baratunde Thurston (host), Sara Ramirez (co-host), Adam Driver, Rufus Wainwright, Sebastian Junger, Sam Kass, and Angela McCluskey.

Rufus WainwrightEach show will be filmed and broadcast as three one-hour specials to premiere on PBS in Spring 2016. The series offers a first-time opportunity to view a TED event for free to students and educators who apply for passes online at Tickets for the general public are $100.

The event features three programs: “The Education Revolution” (November 1 & 2); “War & Peace” (November 3 & 4); and “Science & Wonder” (November 5 & 6).
