Starz has picked up North American rights to action thriller Momentum following its world premiere last night at the 2015 Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. The pic, starring Olga Kurylenko and James Purefoy, centers on Alex (Kurylenko), an infiltration expert with a secret past. She accidentally reveals her identity during what should have been a routine heist and quickly finds herself mixed up in a government conspiracy and entangled in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with a master assassin (Purefoy) and his team of killers.
Texas Chainsaw 3D and Conspiracy scribes Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan co-penned the script. Stephen S. Campanelli directs. Anton Ernst and Donald A. Barton produced. Deal was negotiated by CAA. Starz Digital plans to release the film theatrically and on-demand this fall, followed by a Starz TV premiere in early 2016.
