Clea DuVall Sets Cast For Directorial Debut; Celia Imrie Finds ‘Cure For Wellness’

Clea DuVall‘s untitled feature directorial debut has set its cast. Melanie Lynskey (Two And A Half Men), Natasha Lyonne (Orange Is The New Black), Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire), Jason Ritter (Gravity Falls), Ben Schwartz (House Of Lies), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) will star alongside DuVall in the film, whose plot details are hush-hush. Burn Later Productions’ Paul M. Bernon and Sam Slater will produce along with with Sev Ohanian. DuVall (The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, Argo) wrote the original script and will executive produce with Mel Eslyn and David Bernon. She is repped by Gersh.

Celia Imrie has joined the cast of Gore Verbinski’s supernatural horror film A Cure for Wellness for New Regency. It follows a worker (Dane DeHaan) who is sent to rescue his boss from a European “wellness spa.” He soon realizes he’s trapped and discovers that the facility has a more sinister purpose than just serving the healthy needs of it patients. No details on Imrie’s character. Production is underway in Europe. Imrie appeared in the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films along with What We Did On Our Holiday and The Love Punch. Up next are Molly Moon And The Incredible Book Of Hypnotism and Year By The Sea. She is repped by Magnolia Entertainment, TCA/Jed Root and United Agents in the UK.
