First ‘Sisters’ Trailer – Amy Poehler And Tina Fey Trash Their Parents’ House

It’s kind of weird to think that it’s been seven years since Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were in a movie together, but Baby Mama came out in 2008. The duo is back with a new comedy out this Christmas, and it almost feels like no time has passed at all. Sisters has Fey and Poehler as, well, sisters obviously, who return to their hometown to discover their parents have sold their childhood home. While cleaning out their bedrooms, they decide to throw a high school-style rager and invite their former classmates. Comedy — and personal growth, presumably — ensues. If this ends up being Generation X’s The Big Chill, I’m OK with that, especially since even if it’s terrible it will still be better than The Big Chill.

In addition to Fey and Poehler, Sisters stars Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena and James Brolin. It’s directed by Pitch Perfect‘s Jason Moore from a script by SNL writing alum Paula Pell. Fey produces along with Jay Roach and John Lyons, and Poehler executive produces with Jeff Richmond, Brian Bell. Sisters is out this Christmas.
