‘Stitchers’ Renewed For Season 2 By ABC Family

ABC Family has renewed its first procedural drama, Stitchers, for a second season. The news comes after its June 2 series premiere drew a 0.5 rating and 1.28 million total viewers following the Season 5 bow of Pretty Little Liars. To date it is cable’s No. 1 scripted series in its Tuesday 9 PM time slot among adults 18-34, women 18-34, viewers 12-34 and females 12-34, the network said.

The series stars Emma Ishta as a young woman recruited by the feds to hack into the minds of the dead to solve murders. Jeffrey Alan Schechter, Jonathan Baruch and Rob Wolken are executive producers. Kyle Harris, Ritesh Rajan, Salli Richardson-Whitfield and Allison Scagliotti co-star.

The series was part of ABC Family’s summer strategy that included making its shows available across digital, social media and physical platforms.

The Season 1 finale will air on the network August 4.
