‘Agent Carter’ Heads To Hollywood In Season 2, ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Drops Season 3 Hints: Marvel TV Panel – Comic Con

Update, 4:15PM In a very clever way to reveal what’s upcoming for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Comic-Con panel cut to a video of co-creators Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen chill-laxing in the writers room, thinking of what to do in season 3. Whedon was throwing darts at a board filled with faces of the characters, then amassing score on a marker board (whatever character gets the most points, winds up dead). Actress Elizabeth Henstridge who plays Jemma Simmons observed just before the lights went down on the panel that in the video, the words BEYOND VERY DEAD were next to her name, at which point Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb shouted out a “Thank you very much” to the audience. Prior to his goodbye, Loeb revealed that the inhuman Greenland native character of Lash was coming to the show.

Also toward the end of the writers’ room video, B.J. Britt (who plays Antoine Triplett) walked in with donuts. What was clear coming away from the video was that Coulson (Clark Gregg) was assembling a covert group of warriors (Gosh, the Avengers?) and that Sky’s (Chloe Bennet) who is now Daisy Johnson will be blessed with name of Quake. In addition, the new plane will get the name of the Zephyr 1.

Who wasn’t at today’s Agents panel? While a lot of backslapping with fun times on and off set, Marvel delivered Gregg, Henstridge, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Ian De Caestecker, Brett Dalton, Nick Blood, Henry Simmons, Adrianne Palicki and Luke Mitchell.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Sept. 29. 9PM on ABC.

Previous, 2:33: Executive producer Michele Fazekas just told the Comic Con crowd at the Marvel TV panel that Agent Carter is heading to Los Angeles for season. “We like the idea of old Hollywood, its grit and crime” said Fazekas. Agent Carter gets 10 episodes from ABC, not eight like season 1.

But in a major booo  — Entertainment Weekly broke the news of season prior to the panel.  1947 is the same year as the Black Dahlia Murder and hanks to the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), she’ll be handling a case that the LAPD just can’t crack. Fazekas told EW, “We’re very much being inspired by noir films. We keep talking about LA Confidential and Chinatown” Fazekas told EW. In addition to James D’Arcy (Edwin Jarvis) and Enver Gjokaj (Daniel Sousa) returning,  Chad Michael Murray (Jack Thompson) officially inked for season 2. Jarvis will join Agent Carter on her exploits in LA. Thompson takes over SSR in New York, but not the whole org.
