Super-Sized ‘Scorpion’ To Follow ‘Supergirl’ Debut In October – Comic Con

CBS unveiled during its panel session today at Comic-Con that a special 90-minute episode of Scorpion will follow the series premiere of Supergirl on October 26. The network originally planned a comedy rerun in the slot after Scorpion. That Monday primetime schedule now kicks off with The Big Bang Theory at 8 PM, Supergirl from 8:30-9:30 PM, and Scorpion from 9:30-11 PM.

comiccon 2015 placeholderScorpion‘s Season 2 premiere is set for 9 PM on September 21. The network also said Kiss rocker Gene Simmons will have a cameo on the first episode.

This is a temporary home for Supergirl, CBS’ freshman drama from Greg Berlanti. It moves into its regular slot from 8-9 PM Mondays beginning November 2, followed by Scorpion and NCIS: LA. Big Bang Theory goes back to its normal Thursday 8 PM slot on November 5 after the network ends its run of Thursday Night Football broadcasts.
