“What we do has consequences. Come to work everyday and don’t waiver.” Those words spoken by Paul Giamatti’s determined, hard-charging U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades, as we get a first look at Showtime’s new drama Billions.
Described as a 21st-century examination of the profit and peril of chasing the American dream, Billions is written and exec produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Thirteen, Rounders), and Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big To Fail). Damian Lewis co-stars as brilliant, ambitious hedge-fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, the target of Giamatti’s Rhoades. Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad round out the killer cast. The pilot was directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist, Divergent), who also serves as an executive producer. Production on 12 one-hour episodes is set to begin soon in NYC for premiere in early 2016. Check it out above.
