EXCLUSIVE: Hot comedy actor Ken Jeong has signed with UTA for representation in all areas. Jeong, a real-life physician-turned-actor, has been in demand since his breakout role as Dr. Kuni in Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up and his turn as the flamboyant villain Mr. Chow in the hit comedy The Hangover. On TV, Jeong plays another oddball character, former Spanish teacher Señor Chang, on the NBC comedy Community, which has been renewed for a third season. He was previously at Gersh.
Jeong graduated from Duke University before attending medical school at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his residency, Jeong began moonlighting as a stand-up comic and eventually moved to Los Angeles, where he did guest stints on The Office, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm before landing his break in Knocked Up. Jeong is set to appear in several tentpole movies this summer: The Hangover Part II, in which he reprises his role as Mr. Chow, Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Zookeeper. He continues to be represented by manager Brett Carducci and attorney Chad Christopher.
