Who Do You Think You Are? the BBC One series from Wall To Wall which delves into the family history of notable British celebrities is coming back for a 12th season. Derek Jacobi, Jane Seymour and Jerry Hall are among the ten who’ll be looking into their family trees. Those featured will travel from from the Tower of London to the Highlands of Scotland, from Tunisia to Tasmania, from the Punjab in India to the Wild West of America as they dig deep into their roots. Hall will trace her ancestry from the cotton mills of Oldham to the plains of Texas. Jacobi’s story spans from the humble roots in Walthamstow to the court of Louis XIV of France — but the family tree hides a dangerous secret – his ancestor is leading a double life and flees to England where there’s another surprise in store – an unlikely connection to royalty on this side of the Channel. Endemol Shine Group today announced a new Commercial Partnerships Team, bringing together the Shine 360° and Endemol international commercial teams under one roof. The newly formed team will connect and support Endemol Shine Group’s local commercial teams around the world, sharing ideas, innovation and best practices. Areas of focus will include international brand partnerships, licensing & merchandising, brand management and digital products. Branco Scherer will oversee the new team. He’s being upped to Managing Director, Commercial Partnerships and his duties include spotting and investing in new strategic opportunities and ventures both inside and outside the company. Lorraine Burgess will join Scherer who takes up the role of Director of Commercial and Digital Development. Director of Brand Development Frances Adams also joins the new team, focusing on brand management for global properties generating significant licensing & merchandising business, including hit series such as Masterchef, The Biggest Loser and Mr Bean. Also being added to the Commercial Partnerships Team are Director of Brand Relations Ingrid Akkerman and Director of Brand Partnerships Mark Rosenegk. They’ll be rolling out local brand partnerships abroad and managing multi-territory sponsorship, product placement and brand integration deals across platforms. Akkerman Rosenegk will work with Endemol Shine Group’s branded global content teams including sales and partnership teams at Endemol Beyond. Working alongside Mark Rosenegk, Tom Jeans, in the position of Director of Commercial and Business Affairs, will be initiate and roll out foreign licensing deals while also supporting Endemol Shine Group’s global teams. Karen Maldoy, Senior Manager, Digital Products and Joe Pietroni, Director of App Development, will be in charge of the development of in-house digital apps and games that can be adapted for entertainment brands around the world.
