The Sopranos Steven Schirripa has been cast in a recurring role in Benders, IFC’s eight-episode hockey comedy series. Benders follows a team of friends bonded by an irrational obsession with their men’s ice hockey team, The Chubbys. He will play Vito, opposite Lindsey Broad and Chris Distefano. Schirripa, repped by Innovative Artists and manager Steve Lovett, played Bobby Baccalieri on The Sopranos and Leo on the ABC Family drama The Secret Life Of The American Teenager. Other TV credits include Law & Order, The King Of Queens and Ugly Betty.

Mark Consuelos has been tapped for a recurring role in the upcoming second season of DirecTV’s MMA drama Kingdom. The series, from creator-showrunner Byron Balasco, follows the story of Alvey Kulina (Frank Grillo), who owns and runs a mixed martial arts gym called Navy St. Gym in Venice, CA, with his girlfriend, Lisa (Kiele Sanchez). Consuelos will play Sean Chapas, an ex-fighter and one of Alvey’s (Frank Grillo) oldest friends; a pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of Alvey’s gym. Consuelos is shooting the comedy feature Nine Lives. Other TV credits include American Horror Story: Asylum and Alpha House.
