Brent Sexton Signs Up For ‘The Belko Experiment’; Jason Stuart Joins ‘Birth Of A Nation’

Brent Sexton has joined the cast of MGM’s The Belko Experiment, the Greg McLean-directed thriller written and produced by Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn and Peter Safran. The plot concerns a group of American employees at a government facility outside Sao Paulo who are subjected to an experiment in which they must kill each other or be killed. Sexton plays Vince Agostino, head of human resources at the facility. Belko test subjects and facilitators include Tony Goldwyn, John Gallagher Jr., Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, Melonie Diaz,David Dastmalchaian, Gail Bean, Valentine Miele and John C. McGinley. Sexton recently starred in the ABC pilot Runner with Paula Patton, and will have a recurring arc on USA’s Complications. He is repped by Greene & Associates and Trademark Talent.

Jason Stuart has been added to the cast of The Birth Of  A Nation. He plays slave owner Joseph Randall in the movie written and directed by Nate Parker who also stars as slave-revolt leader Nat Turner. The movie’s large cast includes Armie Hammer, Penelope Ann Miller, Katie Garfield, Aja Naomi King, Aunjanue Ellis, Colman Domingo, Dwight Henry, Roger Guenveur Smith and Gabrielle Union. Stuart can be seen in the upcoming Mark & Jay Duplass film Tangerine, in which he plays Joey the Doorman. That film opens July 10 from Magnolia Pictures. Stuart’s directing debut, his web series Mentor, stars Alexandra Paul and Paul Elia. Stuart also recently appeared in an episode of Sleepy Hollow.
