Carlton Cuse Names Lindsey Springer President Of His Production Company

Carlton Cuse has taken a major step in building up his production company under the three-year first-look deal he signed with A+E Studios last October. Cuse has brought in Amblin TV head of development Lindsey Springer to serve as President of Carlton Cuse Productions, whose series portfolio includes A&E’s Bates Motel and The Returned, FX’s The Strain and USA’s upcoming Colony. All four were created or co-created by former Lost co-showrunner Cuse.

She is highly respected for all her accomplishments at Amblin.”
Springer spent the last 8 years at Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV, serving as head of development for the last five under co-presidents Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. During her tenure, she worked on the development and production of such series as The Americans (FX), Extant (CBS), Under The Dome (CBS), Falling Skies (TNT), Smash (NBC), The United States Of Tara (Showtime), and the upcoming The Whispers (ABC). Before joining Amblin (then DreamWorks TV), Springer, who started as an assistant at the Endeavor talent agency, worked in the comedy development of ABC.

“I have been a fan of Carlton’s work for a long time,” Springer said. “He has created a strong, identifiable brand, which I look forward to helping him carry forward and to expand upon. He also has a reputation as a great producer and collaborator, the kind that you can grow a company around.”
