Top daytime talk show hosts, comedians and pals Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Harvey, have teamed up for Little Big Shots, a comedy/variety show featuring kids, which has been given an eight-episode order by NBC. The series, hosted by Harvey, is part of NBC’s push in live entertainment/variety programming, which includes an annual live musical, an upcoming variety series hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, set to premiere this fall, and the just picked up third season of all-live episodes of multi-camera comedy Undateable.
Little Big Shots, produced by Warner Horizon TV — part of the Warner Bros. TV Group where DeGeneres is based — will showcase “young musicians, singers, dancers and every form of wunderkind in the country, and go toe to toe with them in conversations and interviews, with hilarious results.”
DeGeneres, Harvey, Jeff Kleeman and Gerald Washington executive produced for Warner Horizon, Harvey’s East 112th Street Productions and DeGenees’ A Very Good Production.
Ahead of NBC’s upfront presentation on Monday, NBC also just picked up the Dick Wolf-produced legal reality series You the Jury.
