Tina Fey Gives David Letterman Her Last Dress

Tina Fey explained to David Letterman that her so-long visit to him on CBS’ Late Show was the last time she ever would wear a fancy dress to a late night show, because it’s “very hard work – I don’t know if you’re aware of the contraptions under here.” Jimmy Fallon is like her brother so it would be “creepy” to dress up to stop by NBC’s Tonight Show, she said. And, as for whether she’d wear special underwear for new Late Late Show host James Corden,  “it’s not going to happen,” she said. “The next time you see me I will be playing charades in a slanket.”

“Because this is my last time wearing a fancy dress on a talk show, and conforming to gender norms out of respect for you…I want to give you the dress,” she said. And then she did.
