‘Resurrection’ Cancelled After 2 Seasons

There will be no third chapter for Resurrection, with the supernatural ABC drama not getting a renewal. Resurrection was a big breakout for ABC last season, delivering the strongest launch for a new series on the network when it opened after the Oscars in spring 2014. But, with its high-concept of dead loved ones coming back to life, it flamed out quickly. Following an eight-episode first season, Resurrection returned for a 13-episode second season, which never was able to recapture the ratings magic of the show’s first few episodes and logged very low ratings.

Also getting the plug pulled is ABC’s reality series The Taste, which will not be renewed for a fourth cycle after a low-rated Season 3.
