Jamie Anne Allman & Derek Wilson Join ‘Preacher’; ‘Stitchers’ Adds 2

Jamie Anne Allman (The Killing) and Derek Wilson (Rectify) have booked recurring roles on AMC drama pilot Preacher, based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s cult 1990s comic. The project, from Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg, Sony TV and AMC Studios, centers on Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a creature that has escaped from heaven and develops the ability to make anyone do anything he says. Along with his ex-girlfriend, Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), the three embark on a journey to literally find God.

Allman will play Betsy Schenck, a meek wife who appears to suffer beatings by the hand of her husband, Donny. When the Preacher checks up on her, though, she tells a different story. Wilson is Donny Schenck, a Civil War re-enactor and abusive thug who gets into altercations with Jesse Custer (the Preacher) but nevertheless shows up to church on Sundays. Allman, repped by Green & Associates, was a regular on The Killing and will next be seen as a recurring on Chicago PD. Wilson, repped by Innovative, Gartner/Greene and attorney James Adams, recurs on Sundance Channel’s Rectify and appeared on Broadway in MacBeth.

The Hollywood ShowHenry Rollins 2C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds, Southland) and Henry Rollins (Sons Of Anarchy) have been tapped to guest star on ABC Family’s drama series Stitchers. Written by Jeffrey A. Schechter, Stitchers follows a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be “stitched” into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. Howell will play Daniel, a mysterious person Kirsten (Emma Ishta) knew long ago. Rollins will play Barbiero, a security expert who has worked with Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) in the past and is now pushed to extreme measures. He is lethal when he needs to be and practical when the situation calls for some clear thought. Both Rollins and Howell will appear later in the season.
