'Carnage Park' Goes Into Production, Sells At Cannes

EXCLUSIVE: Ashley Bell, Darby Stanchfield, Pat Healy and Alan Ruck are boarding crime caper/horror pic Carnage Park. Written and directed by Mickey Keating, the film goes into production on May 11 in Los Angeles. CAA is representing domestic sales during the Cannes Film Festival market.

Set during the 1970s, Carnage Park follows a pair of wannabe crooks who botch a bank heist and flee into the desert. There, they stumble upon Carnage Park, a remote wilderness occupied by a psychotic ex-military sniper. Keating’s first feature Ritual was distributed by Lionsgate, and his pic Pod recently premiered at SXSW and was acquired by Vertical. Diablo Entertainment, headed up by producers Eric B Fleischman and Sean Tabibian, are producing and financing Carnage Park.

Bell is known for her turns in The Last Exorcism and The Last Exorcism II.  She is represented by Gersh and Intellectual Artists Management. Stanchfield has made her mark as Abby Whelan on ABC’s Scandal. Her reps are Principal Entertainment LA and Artist & Brand Management. Healy kept the hairs raised on audiences’ arms with his thrilling turn as stalker Officer Daniels in Compliance. He is repped by Gersh and Plattform. Ruck, known for his turn in The Happening and as best friend Cameron in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, is represented by Teitelbaum Artists Group and APA.
