Floating Game Show ‘Pontoon Payday’ Set For May 14 Premiere On CMT

CMT has set a May 14 premiere for new half-hour series Pontoon Payday. Described as the first game show on a boat where contestants can either get drenched in cash or just plain drenched, Pontoon Payday will debut at 10 PM Thursday, May 14. It will follow the 9 PM Season 2 premiere of Party Down South 2.

In Pontoon Payday, unsuspecting lake-goers are plucked from their party boats to find themselves suddenly competing on a floating game show hosted by comedian Frank Nicotero. If they can answer a few questions correctly, they’ll win quick cash to keep their party afloat. But get the questions wrong, and they’re tossed overboard with only their pride.

Pontoon Payday and Party Down South 2 are produced by 495 Productions, the company behind Jersey Shore. Party Down South is one of the most popular original series in CMT history, averaging 3.2 million weekly viewers in is first season, according to the network. SallyAnn Salsano, Joel Zimmer, Kyle Simpson and Paul Storck serve as executive producers for 495 Prods. Jayson Dinsmore and Morgan Selzer executive produce for CMT.
