James Corden’s Ratings Settle In During Second Week Hosting CBS’ ‘Late Late Show’

After taking his debut week as host of CBS’s Late Late Show in overall audience, with a 6% lead over NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Meyers regained the top spot for the week of March 30-April 3 by a 26% margin (1.511 million vs. 1.201 million). Meyers also dominated Corden, and ABC, among adults, men and woman 18-34, 18-49, 25-54.

Meyers’ 0.43 rating in adults 18-49 outscored the second week of CBS’s Late Late Show with James Corden (0.30) by a 43% margin, up from a 16% edge one week earlier, when Corden premiered on Monday and excluded delayed Thursday and Friday repeats from his averages.

On the bright side for Corden, he retained a larger percentage of his David Letterman lead-in than did Meyers his Jimmy Fallon hosted Tonight Show crowd:

A18-49 (66% vs. 45%)
A18-34 (75% vs. 43%)
A25-54 (63% vs. 43%)

Corden averaged the same 0.30 demo rating as had Late Late Show during the Feb sweep with celeb guest fill-in hosts. Corden’s 1.201 million overall crowd for the week was a bit lower than the franchise’s 1.288 million average for February.
