CBS Tops Good Friday Primetime, ‘Cristela’ & ‘Dateline’ Rise, ‘Grimm’ Even

There was no NCAA Tournament on last night but the first night of Passover and Good Friday saw CBS score nonetheless. On a primetime where adults 18-49 usage was down 5% from last week, the network took the top spot in both the key demo with a 1.2/5 rating and in total viewers with 8.579 million watching.

Dipping 7% among the 18-49s from its last original of March 13, Blue Bloods (1.3/5) was tied with Dateline, which was up 20% form last week, for both the 10 PM slot No. #1 spot and the highest rated shows of the night. With an audience of 10.67 million, the Tom Selleck-led NYPD family drama was, as usual, easily the most watched show of Friday night. CBS’ earlier offering of The Amazing Race (1.2/5) and Hawaii Five-O (1.2/4) saw the former slip 8 from its last original of mid-March and the latter even with its March 13 show.

The 8 PM CBS reality show was tied with Last Man Standing (1.2/5), which was down 8% from its last original. With a crossover to LMS, freshman Cristela (1.0/4) jumped up 25% from last week to hit an 11-week high in the demo. No such jump for NBC’s 8 PM airing of Grimm (1.0/4), which was even with last week’s series low.

The CW was all encores and Fox ran the 21 Jump Street pic. Have a great Easter Sunday.
