To mark the 10th season of the modern Doctor Who, BBC Worldwide is releasing a 10-episode box set in a BitTorrent Bundle. Spanning some 50 years and a dozen regenerations, Doctor Who is the longest running sci-fi series in history. In addition to what BBC describes as the best-of episodes, the bundle features commentary from the 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi, and other special features curated by the Doctor Who team. Fans can download or stream an intro video from Capaldi and preview for free the first episode of the Doctor Who reboot, “Rose” (Series 1, Episode 1). They then have the option to purchase the Decade of the Doctor Bundle for $12.
Red Arrow Entertainment Group has opened a corporate office in New York City. Heading the Gotham outpost is Chief Creative Officer Michael Schmidt. Also on board for the NYC office is Raimo Reese, senior VP finance US. The new location illustrates the increasingly important US market for ProSiebenSat.1’s Red Arrow, which has five companies stateside: Fabrik Entertainment, Kinetic Content, Nerd TV, Left/Right, and Half Yard Productions. The company is active in scripted and unscripted production. Red Arrow CEP Jan Frouman said the New York location will “strengthen the link between our European and US companies, and facilitate new partnerships with US creatives.”
