Maggie Lawson To Star In CBS Comedy Pilot ‘Angel From Hell’

Maggie Lawson is set as the co-lead opposite Jane Lynch in CBS’ half-hour single-camera comedy pilot Angel From Hell, from writer-executive producer Tad Quill and CBS TV Studios. The project centers on an unlikely pair. When the larger-than-life, brassy and flamboyant Amy (Lynch) enters Allison’s (Lawson) life and claims to be her guardian angel, they form an unlikely friendship, and Allison can’t be sure if Amy is an angel or just nuts. Allison, a multi-tasker and perfectionist, is inclined to believe that Amy (Lynch) is just another wingnut, except that every last one of Amy’s pronouncements comes true.

Both Lawson and Lynch segue to CBS’ Angel From Hell after major recurring roles on the network’s long-running multi-camera comedy series Two and a Half Men. Lawson, repped by Gersh and Alchemy Entertainment, appeared in almost all episodes from  2.5 Men‘s final season, playing a love interest for leads Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer. She previously played the female lead on USA’s Psych and ABC’s Back In the Game.
