A&E Exec Neil Cohen Moving To UTA As Alt TV Agent

A&E Network executive Neil A. Cohen is leaving to join UTA as an agent in the Alternative TV department. He will be based in the New York offices and rep talent in the cable, network and over-the-top TV fields.

Neil CohenCohen spent the past three years as SVP Talent & Production at A&E after joining the cable network in 2004, developing unscripted series including Dog The Bounty Hunter, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Shipping Wars and Steven Seagal: Lawman. Before that he had stints at Granada America (now ITV) developing for cable networks and was an exec producer at True Entertainment. He also helped establish New York Times Television in the late 1990s.

“I have known and worked with Neil for more than 10 years,” said Brett Hansen, UTA Partner and Head of Alternative TV, in a release announcing the hire today. “His experience from working in all areas of the television business combined with his thoughtful and intelligent approach are an unbeatable combination.”
