Andy Cohen Gets His Own SiriusXM Channel, Will Host Weekly Radio Show

Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen is getting a branded channel on SiriusXM satellite radio. The veteran Bravo executive-turned TV personality and producer will executive produce Radio Andy, a new 24/7 entertainment channel that he will personally curate. One of the programs on the new nationwide channel, set to launch later this year, will be a weekly radio show hosted by Cohen.

“This will be the radio extension of my love for pop culture – everything high and low,” Cohen told Deadline. The channel will feature “mainly talk from a curated group of celebrities and pop culture fanatics that I love and admire, with some music,” he said.

Cohen is no stranger to SiriusXM. In 2012, he hosted a five-week series of live, call-in shows discussing pop culture and entertainment on the satellite radio company. He also hosted a live on-air, ’80s prom-themed broadcast exclusively on SiriusXM to mark the publication of his best-selling memoir Most Talkative: Stories From The Front Lines Of Pop Culture.

The program Cohen will host for Radio Andy will be a brand new live show. “It will be an up to the minute rant about what I’m obsessed with in pop culture featuring long form interviews with actors, singers, writers, reality stars and beyond; if I’m interested, I’ll have them on,” he said. “Personally, I’ve been looking for an outlet where I can do more long-form interviews, and SiriusXM is the perfect home for my brand of uncensored, deep and shallow talk.”

Cohen has been on SiriusXM a number of times as a guest on the radio show of Howard Stern whom Cohen calls one of his broadcast role models. “I view Watch What Happens Live as the closest TV equivalent to his radio show in that I treat Housewives with the same importance as Oprah or Meryl Streep and we weave seamlessly back and forth between high and low,” he said. Will we hear Stern on Radio Andy? “I have no expectations that Howard will have anything to do with Radio Andy, but I am excited to work under the same roof as the King!,” Cohen said.

In addition to hosting and executive Producer of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Cohen also serves as executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise and hosts the reality series’ reunion specials on Bravo.
