‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 5 Key Art Unveiled – New Horizons

In a just over a month and a half, fans of the blockbuster HBO series will finally be back on the fictional continents of  Westeros and Essos. But while Game Of Thrones fans wait for the Season 5 debut on April 12, the premium cabler today released another look at what is to come.

Following on his escape from King’s Landing, Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion Lannister is now on the run across the Narrow Seas – as this image shows to some extent. And, of course, there are dragons on the horizon, literally and figuratively.

The dragons make sense as Season 5 is based on elements of author George R.R. Martin’s A Feast Of Crows and A Dance Of Dragons novels from his A Song Of Ice and Fire series.

Produced and created for TV by D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, GoT was renewed for both a Season 5 and a Season 6 just after its fourth season started last spring. Then again with a then record-breaking S4 April 6 premiere watched by 6.6 million viewers that was a bit of no-brainer. The June 15, 2014 S4 finale had 7.1 million viewers. That was just behind the show’s all-time high of 7.2 million that it hit on May 4 last year.
