James Earl Joins ‘Cooper Barrett’s Guide’; Aunjanue Ellis In ‘Quantico’

James Earl (Gridiron Gang) has been cast in Fox’s comedy pilot Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life from 20th Century Fox TV and Gail Berman’s the Jackal Group. Written by Jay Lacopo, Cooper Barrett’s Guide is a 20-something comedy that celebrates the mistakes and misadventures of post college life. Earl, repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Untitled Entertainment, will play Cooper Barrett’s roommate Barry. Earl previously had recurring roles in Glee as well as two TBS comedy series, Ground Floor and Glory Daze.

Aunjanue Ellis (The Book Of Negroes) is set for a lead role opposite Tate Ellington in ABC’s drama pilot Quantico. It revolves around a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. One will launch a devastating terrorist attack on the U.S. Ellis, repped by ICM Partners and TMT Entertainment, will play Miranda, the Director of Quantico, overseeing the training of a new group of recruits. Ellis’ feature credits include The Help and Get On Up.
