MTV Passes On ‘Self Promotion’ Pilot

Comedy pilot Self Promotion is not going forward at MTV. The project, directed by Zach Braff, was one of two comedy pilots at MTV. The other, Ken Jeong Made Me Do It, starring the Community standout, is expected to go to series. (Jeong also has pilot Dr. Ken at ABC.)

krosney1Dark comedy Self Promotion centered on overworked assistant Katie Preston (Alexandra Krosney) who discovers that her dragon lady boss is missing (or worse). Things get messy fast, with Katie, believing she’ll be the prime suspect, covering up the crime scene. She starts calling the shots in her boss’s “absence,” and goes full CSI to find out what actually happened and exonerate herself. Brian Jordan Alvarez, Ben Bledsoe and Derek Goh co-starred.
