Carey Mulligan & Her Three Suitors In New ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’ Trailer

Below is the second trailer for Danish helmer Thomas Vinterberg’s return to English-language filmmaking, Far From The Madding Crowd. The Fox Searchlight adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s literary classic is from a script by David Nicholls and stars Carey Mulligan as heroine Bathsheba Everdene who finds herself torn between three very different suitors. Matthias Schoenaerts, Michael Sheen and Tom Sturridge play the men in question. This is a title that many have expected to see in Cannes where Vinterberg’s Oscar-nominated The Hunt debuted in 2012. It’s currently got a U.S. and UK release date of May 1, casting uncertainty over that possibility. Check out the trailer:
