Underlying the new synergies between the Fox network and sister studio 20th TV, both run by Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Wiseman, who is under an overall deal at 20th TV, has been loaned out to helm a pilot for Fox that comes from WBTV.

Based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint, the TV series centers on Lucifer who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.

The logline has FOX tv logoundergone an evolution toward a police procedural since the project was originally bought by Fox as a put pilot in September. Back then, there was no police work involved, with Lucifer coming to LA to open an exclusive piano bar called Lux.

Warner Bros TV is producing with Jerry Bruckheimer TV and Kapinos’ Aggressive Mediocrity.

This is Kapinos’ second pilot this season; he also has Dead People at the CW.
