Adam Sandler Moves ‘Ridiculous Six’ To Netflix

Adam Sandler, who moved his ensemble comedy The Ridiculous Six from Sony to Paramount, has relocated the film to Netflix as one of the pictures in his groundbreaking deal. The film is now set to begin production in New Mexico through Happy Madison Production, and production will start in February in Santa Fe and the surrounding areas.

Sandler will star with Terry Crews, Lost‘s Jorge Garcia, Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson and Nick Nolte. The Wedding Singer‘s Frank Coraci will direct a script by Tim Herlihy and Sandler. Sandler produces with Allen Covert with Barry Bernardi and Heather Parry exec producers. New Mexico is crowing, as the production will employ at least 200 New Mexico crew members and 250 New Mexico actors and local background talent.

Sandler last October made the deal to do four movies he’ll star in for Netflix. These will not be released theatrically; they’re specifically being done for the streaming subscription service.
