Cassie Scerbo Returns For ‘Sharknado 3’; Ryan Hurst Joins ‘Outsiders’

Cassie Scerbo (Make It Or Break it) will be back to reprise her role as Nova Clarke in the third installment of Syfy’s Sharknado. She joins returning stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid in the highly successful B-movie franchise. They round out the returning team of helmer Anthony C. Ferrante, directing from a script by Thunder Levin, and The Asylum producing. Premiering on Syfy in July, Sharknado 3 will cause mass destruction in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., then roar down the Eastern Seaboard. Sharknado 2: The Second One became Syfy’s most-watched original movie ever with 3.9 million total viewers. Scerbo is repped by Abrams Artists Agency, LINK and attorney Steve Younger.

Sons Of Anarchy alum Ryan Hurst has landed a series regular role on WGN America’s drama series Outsiders, a tale of struggle for power and control in the hills of Appalachia, from playwright Peter Mattei, producers Peter Tolan and Paul Giamatti, Sony Pictures TV and Tribune Studios. It tells the story of the Farrell clan, a family of outsiders who’ll protect their world and defend their way of life using any means necessary. Hurst, repped by Domain and Piper Kaniecki Management, will play Lil Foster, the son of Big Foster and brother of Hasil. He is pathologically loyal to his father and will always take his father’s side in an argument or confrontation – until he doesn’t. Hurst currently recurs on A&E’s Bates Motel.
