‘Sleepy Hollow’ Ratings Hit Low, ‘The Bachelor’ Rises To New High, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Falls

It was full house on the Big 4 last night and things were rockin in primetime – literally in the case of ABC and in the not so good way over on Fox. For the second consecutive week, Gotham (1.8/6) has fallen to a low among adults 18-49. Last night’s 8 PM show saw a 5% slip from the 10% stumble of the week before. The tractionless Batman backstory certainly seemed to shackle Sleepy Hollow (1.2/3) as that Ichabod Crane series fell 14% from last week to hit a series low of its own among the demo – that’s double what Sleepy Hollow stumbled last week.

A bit of those falls on Fox might have something to do with the growth over on ABC from 8 to 10 PM.

With a little bit of help from country rock duo Big and Rich, Chris Soules went big on The Bachelor (2.7/8) this week. Handing out roses onstage at concerts in front of cheering fans, Badlands picnics and a chopper ride that had more tension than a Brian Williams apology – it was a whirlwind of a show. Coming off last week’s season high, the 199th episode in The Bachelor series and the sixth episode of Season 19 also saw an 8% rise among adults 18-49 and a 1% bip up to 8.6 million viewers to score new highs in both categories. The Bachelor was also the highest rated show of the night. Unlike last week, those good times spilled over to Castle (1.6/5). The long running crime drama went up double what it went down last week with a 14% rise to hit an 11-week best in the demo. All of which snagged ABC its third Monday win in a row among the 18-49s with a 2.3/7 rating.

Speaking of wins or soon to be wins – it’s down to the final two on The Celebrity Apprentice (1.4/4). Either Geraldo Rivera or Leeza Gibbons is taking home the Trump win in next week’s finale. Ina nice move of corporate synergy this week’s show on NBC found the two TV hosts competing to create a 90-second promotional video for the Universal Orlando theme park. Yet with a clip-show lead-in, the original Celebrity Apprentice took a fast ride downward last night. The penultimate episode of Season 14 fell 33% from its February 2 show to hit a season low. With that 1-minute bleed over from Celebrity Apprentice, State of Affairs (1.0/3) also took a tumble down 9% from last week.

That downward trend that hit Fox struck CBS to some extent last night too, though the latter did end up being the most watched network on the night with 10.273 million tuning in. Otherwise, 2 Broke Girls (2.3/7) and Mike & Molly (2.1/6) dipped 4% and 5% respectively. A new Scorpion (2.2/6) may have been the most watched show of the night with an audience of 11.49 million but the freshman still slipped 4% from its last original of January 19. And that gave NCIS: Los Angeles (1.6/5) a 6% trip of its own from its February 2 show.

The results were both a blow and bounce on The CW with The Originals (0.5/2) down 29% from last week to a series low in preliminary numbers while Jane The Virgin went up a tenth from its February 2 airing to tie its demo best.
