Pam Fryman To Direct Dana Klein, DJ Nash & Dan O’Shannon Comedy Pilots

UPDATED: Pam Fryman is in high demand again this pilot season. The veteran comedy director set to helm Fox’s untitled Dana Klein multi-camera project, from 20th Century Fox TV; DJ Nash’s NBC/Universal TV multi-camera pilot People Are Talking; and CBS’ untitled comedy pilot from former Modern Family executive producer Dan O’Shannon at CBS TV Studios.

The Dana Klein project reunites Fryman with the project’s creator/executive producer Klein, executive producer Aaron Kaplan, and studio 20th TV after she directed their NBC comedy pilot Daddy’s Girls three years ago. Fryman has been a fixture at 20th TV as she served as director/executive producer on long-running comedy series How I Met Your Mother from the pilot to the finale.

The Dana Klein project is told from the point of view of a working mom who is in constant competition with her perfect, stay-at-home sister-in-law. Nash’s People Are Talking examines sex, race and everything else your parents told you never to talk about. Written by O’Shannon and Peter Warren, the untitled CBS comedy project revolves around a group of friends and family at three different times in their lives. O’Shannon executive produces alongside Clark Peterson & Dennis Erdman, Eric Tannenbaum & Kim Tannenbaum.

This season, ICM Partners-repped Fryman serves as the director/executive producer on freshman CBS comedy series The McCarthys.
