Mark Ruffalo Goes All Twitter For SAG Award Speech

Mark Ruffalo went to bed early last night in London for an early call on his new film Now You See Me 2, but his family made sure to wake him to let him know he won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for his role in HBO’s The Normal Heart.

Ruffalo, who was also nominated for Supporting Actor for his role in Foxcatcher, then took to Twitter to formulate his acceptance speech — check out how he unveiled it below. It’s very Twitter: efficient and sharp, which is more than can be said for some onstage speeches during this long and wind-y awards season. Maybe all winners should accept their gongs this way: It sure would make for shorter broadcasts, and you can always add an extra one when you forget to thank your family.
