‘K.C. Undercover’ Digs Up 3.5 Million Viewers In Sunday Debut

Disney Channel’s premiere of spy comedy series K.C. Undercover delivered 3.5 million viewers, giving Disney the right to boast it’s the year’s No. 1 cable telecast among kids 2-11 (1.7 million), kids 6-11 (1.4 million) and tweens 9-14 (1.4 million). Across all TV, the Sunday night premiere becomes the year’s top-rated telecast among girls 6-11. Yes, the year is just three weeks old. More important to Disney Channel, the K.C. Undercover premiere sacked Nickelodeon’s Bella And The Bulldogs’ series premiere of the previous night, by 13% in kids 2-11 (1.7 million vs. 1.5 million), 17% in kids 6-11 (1.4 million vs. 1.2 million) and 48% in tweens (1.4 million vs. 949,000).

K.C. Undercover, which stars Zendaya as a high school math whiz and karate black-belt who is recruited by her spy parents, also was  the No. 1 most social children & family series and the No. 2 most social comedy series on Sunday, according to Nielsen.
