Condola Rashad Joins Showtime Pilot ‘Billions’; Edward James Olmos In ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Condola Rashad has been cast opposite Paul Giamatti in the Showtime drama pilot Billions. Written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin, Billions is a fictional drama that takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard-charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge-fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis). Rashad, repped by ICM Partners and Brookside Artist Management, will play Kate, a smart, ambitious young professional who is working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Rashad’s previous  TV credits include a recurring role in NBC’s Smash and Lifetime’s Steel Magnolias remake.

Edward James Olmos 1Edward James Olmos is the latest addition to Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. He’s been tapped for a guest starring role as Robert Gonzales, according to Marvel. There’s no official character description yet, other than Olmos’ debut  will have “massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team.” Also no word yet on the number of episodes Olmos will appear in. Olmos is best known for his roles in the Battlestar Galactica TV series remake and Blade Runner. He received a Best Actor Oscar nom for Stand And Deliver. His TV credits include Miami Vice and The Burning Season.
