YouTube Star Grace Helbig To Headline Primetime Comedy Talk Show On E!

Comedian, actress and video blogger Grace Helbig will star in E!’s The Grace Helbig Project (working title) for premiere in April. The new hybrid talk show will feature Helbig, best known for her “Its Grace” YouTube channel, giving her take on what’s trending in pop culture, along with interviews with celebrity guests.

“This show is a fresh take on the conventional talk show with a very unconventional host who has already captured an enormous fan base of young viewers on the web,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming & Development, E! Entertainment. “As we continue to seek out programming that offers a rich multiplatform experience, we are excited to launch this forward-thinking talk show that speaks so perfectly to our audience and to the core of E!’s pop culture brand.”

“Congratulations to E! for giving an internet-obsessed introvert a talk show. I’m looking forward to working with humans,” added Helbig.

Each week, Helbig will invite viewers to interact with her on social media, using their Tweets, Vines and Instagrams to help shape the show, E! says. Celebrity guests will be interviewed in a variety of everyday locations, ranging from her car to the grocery store.

Helbig’s Webby award-winning Its Grace has more than 2 million subscribers on YouTube. She is also the creator of the IAWTV and Streamy award-winning web series DailyGrace, as well as the podcast Not Too Deep With Grace Helbig. Recently, Helbig starred in and executive produced Camp Takota, which was picked up by Netflix in November.

The Grace Helbig Project is produced by Embassy Row. Executive producers are Michael Davies, Amanda McPhillips, Grace Helbig, and Ken Treusch.
